wedding car ribbon with pull bowBegin by tying the middle of the ribbon to the front of the car’s bonnet.

Make sure that you leave plenty of ribbon on either side of the knot, so that it can reach back to the wing mirrors later on.

If the car has a pop-up badge (such as might be found on a Mercedes-Benz, for example), tie the ribbon neatly around this.

If not, open the bonnet and loop the ribbon carefully around the interior catch before closing it again (take great care to ensure that oil or dirt from the bonnet catch does not ruin the ribbon).

Once this is done, simply pull the loose ends of the ribbon back to the car’s wing mirrors and tie them on. This should leave you with the classic ‘V’ shape of ribbon on your car’s bonnet.

Cut away any excess ribbon from the mirrors
(make sure you don’t cut too close to the knot, in case it loosens a little).

All that’s left is to tie the pull-bows on – you’ll need one on each wing mirror, and one at the ‘point’ of the V.

To assemble a pull-bow, locate the unsealed end first.
Hold the outer thick ribbon with one hand, and pull the thin ribbon with the other until the bow is formed.
Then use the thin ribbons to tie the bow to the relevant point.

If you have used the bonnet catch to tie the ‘point’, simply tie the pull-bow to the ribbon itself. If the car has a stick-up mascot, you can tie the pull-bow to this.

Your car should now be decorated and look wonderful!
